World is growing rapidly there are many captivating buildings present around us , more and more seems to construct daily using latest technology . Today we are going to talk about some Oldest Constructions of World :



. Newgrange :

Newgrange is situated in Ireland , it is the prehistoric monument . It was build during Neolithic Period  around 3200 BC . The Building consist of large circular mound with an inner stone passageway and chambers. Human Bones , graves were found in these Chambers . Many of the larger stones of Newgrange is covered with Megalithic Art . It was noted one of the great Megalithic Structures in Europe .








 .Tumulus Of Bougan :





Tumulus Of Bougan also known as Necropolis Of Bougan is a group of five neolithic barrows (Tumulus A,B,C,D,E) , situated in France . To protect the monument , the site is acquired by department of  Deux-sevres in 1873 . This the oldest Structure of this Prehistoric  Monument dated backed to 4800 BC










. Megalithic temples of Malta :

Megalithic Temples of Malta are considered to be the one of the oldest temple in history with some dating back to before Egyptian  Step Pyramids and The Stone Structure Of Stonehenge . Megalithic Temples are are known to be the oldest free - standing structure on earth . These structure were constructed during three distinct time period approximately 3600 BC and 700 BC , also over 5,500 years ago.The temple's interior wall be made of orthostates means  a large stone slabs and the external walls of temple are made of coralline limestone a material which is generally harder and use in temple's intersection.




 . Knap Of Howar :



   The Knap Of Howar is a neolithic farmstead , situated in Scotland . It is the third among oldest building in the world . Radiocarbon dating shows that it is standing from 3100 BC to 3700 BC. It consist of two adjacent rectangular building facing towards sea . According to Archaeologist one building was for living quarters and other was utilising  as workshop  and both are spacious 10 x 5 m                                   

                                                              

. Pyramid of Djoser :

If you remember I have discussed Djoser Pyramid earlier in my 2nd blog under the topic " How journey of Structural Engineering Begin ". Let us discuss it in detail . The Pyramid was constructed between 2667 to 2648 BC and it was the resting for Djoser - the second king of third Dynasty of Egyptian Kingdom . It is surmounted by Tura limestone that's 10.5 m high . The step Pyramid is considered as earlier large stone cut construction.
